The field of Early Childhood Education is constantly evolving; our curriculum incorporates the latest research and takes the needs of every type of learner into account. The Baby Academics program honors a child's creativity and respects the roles teachers play in making learning exciting and individualized for every child. This means each teacher must create lessons which meet the unique needs of each student. The most important role of the curriculum is to help children become enthusiastic learners.
Young children learn best by using all of their senses- touching, tasting, listening, smelling and seeking. By using materials in the classroom children will have the opportunity to explore and engage in their ideas by using all five of their senses. They learn about size, shapes, colors, and acquire the knowledge to begin noticing relationships between objects. Their next step is to grasp the concept of symbolic thinking. Through this process children learn to use one object to stand for another. Gradually children start to use abstract symbols to describe their thoughts and feelings.
Our B.A. brings curriculum, assessments, professional development and family connections together to educate children at an early age. We encourage each student` to be active and creative explores who are inhibited to try their own ideas, allowing them to become independent, self-confident, and inquisitive.
